Det har vært Grammy-nominasjonsdag i USA i dag i år igjen og denne gangen er det ekstra kjekt å konstatere at alt som er sagt og skrevet om Sturgill Simpson ser ut til å slå til. Han er nominert til Album Of The Year og Best Country Album, sammen med store popartister som Beyonce, Justin Bieber og Adele. Og så en fyr som heter Drake da, hvem nå det enn er?
Det som er enda artigere for oss enn Sturgills nominasjoner, er at selveste Robbie Fulks er nominert til pris i hele to kategorier, Best Folk Album og Best American Roots Song. I sistnevnte kategori med sitt fantastiske åpningsspor, “Alabama At Night”, fra albumet som er nominert til første kategori, Upland Stories.
