I was fortunate enough to play tour manager/tour manager assistant to my friend Jon Latham over the weekend. Jon is extremely well loved in the Nashville music community by friends and fans alike. Our road trip for this show consisted of a four-hour car ride with plenty of inside jokes and memories to last a lifetime.
It was his first time playing in Asheville, NC at The Grey Eagle and he made sure to give the crowd over 100%. Jon is one of the greatest singer/ songwriters we have in Nashville. Good luck not getting lost in his storytelling.
Aaron Lee Tasjan Band, who is also well loved in our community, performed an electrifying headlining set at The Grey Eagle in Asheville, NC. Band members include Brian Wright on guitar, Seth Earnest on drums, and Tommy Scifres on bass.
A lot of people consider Aaron Lee Tasjan Americana or Roots music, but his live shows tell a different story. I’ve always been obsessed with New York and their 70’s revolutionized punk scene at CBGBs and Aaron’s the closest thing to that! Maybe it has something to do with his time playing guitar with the New York Dolls.
If you go see his live shows, I promise you’ll get the Ramones, The Clash, Chuck Berry, Lou Reed, and The Stooges rolled into one.
