... While we wait for Andrew Combs
One of the most promising artists I've written about on this blog is Andrew Combs. I mentioned his sparkling EP Tennessee Time in January last year, and now nears the final release of his first LP.
As a taster as he released the single "Big Bad Love" digitally and as a 7 "vinyl limited edition.
We meet an Andrew Combs that introduced a little more rough guitars and slightly influenced by Delta Blues on the title track "Big Bad Love", in which a Hammond organ is particularly evocative - and the B-side we find "Take It From Me" where a pedal steel takes us into Combs world in an exquisite way.
This bodes VERY well before the disc, and you can hear the songs on Spotify. They can also be heard in its entirety at Andrews Band Camp , and then purchased digitally ($ 2) or vinyl ($ 7 + a few cents in postage)
"Big Bad Love":
"Take It From Me":
A song which I also hope will be found on the disc is "Month of Bad Habits." Watch a video of this here;
