Robbie Robertson with underhand on Facebook ...

Americana , News No Comments December 17, 2010 Americana , News No Comments

The Bands Facebook Page is run by Robbie Robertson and his son Sebastian, cf. introductory post on Facebook Since the time it was established as The Bands Official Facebook Page. Now no one knows if it is still the case, but in the summer had since contests with exclusive Robertsonsignerte Band discs and Last Waltz super boxes ...

Since that time have since been respectful of the other band members, despite the well-documented stories of how it really stood between the gang from Big Pink.

In 1993, Levon Helm wrote the book "This Wheels On Fire", and this was re-released in 2000 after Rick Danko tragically left this world.

Levon also stated that Robertson was much of the reason Danko died, when he worked in an early grave, he said. Much of Levon criticism is the way Robertson ran the course before the Last Waltz, and such would omit Muddy Waters in favor of Neil Diamond. In hindsight claim that Levon Robertson also managed to get bartered to him much of the back-catalog of The Band, so he is the only one who made money on record sales and especially The Last Waltz in retrospect.

Today appeared suddenly following statement on page The Band:

And the reaction was not long in coming. Over 150 comments in under 15 minutes, and most are natural enough in arms.

And bizarrely enough, the link to Levon Helm the only thing missing on the Info section ...

Anyway, we recommend without blinking Levon Helm's memoir "This Wheels On Fire", which is one of the best musical history books out there ... bought on Amazon
